Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has fulfilled his promise on the scholarship awarded to deserving citizens of the state to study various courses abroad.
The Governor who revived the Abia State Scholarship Board, saw the first batch of scholarship recipients leaving for India on October 8, 2021, to study their courses of choice which include pharmacy, ICT, Law, Engineering etc.
It is on record that this is the first time in the history of the state that selected and deserving young Abians have gotten the opportunity to further their education abroad.
Also, preparations are on to have other awardee students go to designated countries where the state has relevant study agreements.
