The race for 2023 general elections may have started as political gladiators are realigning ahead of 2023. Just few days after the defection of Abia political heavy weights like Amb. Bishop Emeka Nwankpa, APGA Candidate for Isiala Ngwa Federal Constituency in 2019 elections and Chief Bordex Onuoha, the APGA Senatorial Candidate for Abia North Senatorial zone, few days ago has witnessed other defections and Abia APC members are full of smiles.
Just week, the State Chairman of SDP , a two time House of Assembly member that represented Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon. Chidi Nwosu decamped to APC, the ruling party in Nigeria has also welcomed another political heavy weight, in the name of Hon. Emeka Atuma, popularly known as Kabila. As at the time of filing this report, the welcome ceremony is happening now in his country Ikwuano Local Government Area with the State Chairman, Hon. Donatus Nwankpa and other bigwigs in attendance. Recall that Hon. Emeka Atuma was a one time House of Representatives Member for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency and later contested for both the Governorship and Senatorial tickets of his then party, PDP and was always shortchanged during the primary elections.
