Abia State Deputy Governor,Sir Ude Oko Chukwu,PhD has congratulated his Boss and Governor of Abia State,Okezie Victor Ikpeazu,PhD on his victory over Dr. Alex Otti at the Supreme Court of Nigeria on Wednesday.
The Deputy Governor in a release signed by his Chief Press Secretary,Obasi Okibeh Onwukah, described the verdict of the Apex Court upholding the declaration of Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu as the authentic winner of the 2019 Governorship Election in Abia State as a land mark judgement and victory not only for democracy but also for Abia citizenry who freely and overwhelmingly voted for Dr Ikpeazu and the PDP in the said polls.
The Deputy Governor who could not hide his joy, noted that the ruling of the Court of final judgement has further lent credence to the fact that,the choice of Okezie Ikpeazu for a second term in office by the PDP and Abia Electorate was and still is divine.
Sir Oko Chukwu glorified God for the victory and thanked the good people of God’s Own State for their confidence,support and solidarity so far and urged them not to relent.
Sir Oko Chukwu who lauded the Honourable Justices of the Supreme Court for their impartiality,courage,steadfastness and right sense of judgement,stressed the need for those in the opposition,Abians and all people of goodwill to join hands with Governor Ikpeazu and his Government to take Abia State to greater heights for the common good of all.
