IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu Arrives Geneva for UN Meeting

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has arrived Geneva, Switzerland ahead of his “vital meeting” with some officials of the United Nations.

The IPOB leader arrived Geneva in Switzerland on Monday, September 16 and would be expected to present the crux of the agitation for the Republic of Biafra before the United Nations.

Kanu took to Twitter on Sunday, to reveal that he would be meeting with United Nations officials in Geneva, Switzerland today, Tuesday, September 17, 2019.

The IPOB leader had said that the meeting became imperative because the international community is fully aware of the plight of Biafrans in the hands of the Nigerian government whom he tagged “terrorist government.”

“I’m looking forward to leading the Indigenous People of Biafra to a vital meeting with United Nations officials in Geneva, Switzerland on Sep. 17, 2019.

“The international community is fully aware of the plight of Biafrans in the hands of the terrorist Nigerian government,” Kanu tweeted on Sunday.

The international community is fully aware of the plight of Biafrans in the hands of the terrorist Nigerian government.

IPOB also officially confirmed the visit in a statement on Sunday, saying: “Going by the relentless engagement of the international community by our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, we the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) consider it imperative to inform the great people of Biafra, friends of Biafra and lovers of freedom that in keeping with the promise of our leader during his last outing at the EU, he will be leading a delegation to the UN office in Geneva Switzerland on Tuesday 18th September 2019.”

The meeting will be coming after the IPOB leader visited the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium on Tuesday, September 10.
